QUARTER 1 UPDATE

MAY - JULY, 2024

We’ve just wrapped up the first quarter of our Burn the Ships initiative. Over the first few months of Burn the Ships, we’re already on the way to winning NOCO, from people publicly declaring their faith in Jesus through baptism, to families giving for the first time, to over 100 individuals growing closer in community and their relationship with Jesus through Rooted. And this is just the start! More and more people are taking their next steps with Jesus, and we can’t wait to see what God will do over the next two years.

“Everything is His. And He is faithful. I’m so happy to be handing something to God to store up or hand out or use in whatever way He has planned. Whether it’s giving it back to us in some crazy way, or using it to build His church, or spreading it to folks who need it whom I would never personally be able to come into contact with. Whatever it is He wants to do, I want to do it with Him.”

When he asked if he should register for Rooted, Rudy said he usually walks in the side door and “escapes before having to talk to people” quickly after service. It took a lot of courage for him to register, but he showed up faithfully each week and even found the courage to share his story with his group. Since Rooted, Rudy uses the main doors on Sundays, talks with a few people in the lobby, and is excited that his group has continued to meet post-Rooted.

“Even in the challenging times, we see God’s spirit working in the next generation through Fathers in the Field. My field buddies desire to grow and stay engaged to his/the commitment, and our time together is so encouraging. He is always curious about learning about his faith in Christ.”
